Experience: David surely doesn't need a 115th positive review. But I will write one anyway, once more confirming that he is as excellent and accomplished as others have found him. Being in Seattle for a short time, I managed to get a morning massage. David''s studio/house is in an oasis-like setting in a rather grungy part of Seattle, near the Boeing airport. The house is sparely but tastefully furnished and David exudes good health and confidence in what he does. The massage was excellent. David lets you know early his limits and while he provides a release, he is otherwise restrained. Well worth time, money, and inconvenience of finding his studio, however. Two minor criticisms. David wants to give the impression of being in touch with the larger sensual tradition of Asia. He says and asks his client to repeat a Sanskrit sloka near the end; he terribly mispronounces it and ought to leave it out of his process. Second, he asks you to leave the money below his statue of Buddha. His Buddha is the laughing Buddha, the kind you pick up at Pier One. Not a representation that someone who respects Buddha would have. He should learn how to pronounce his sloka and get a proper Buddha if he wants to claim that heritage.

I felt the need to respond to this gentleman¹s review for a couple of
reasons. First off, I wanted to thank him for his kind words and the time
and energy he put into writing the review. Second, I felt the need to
correct the rate he has me charging. I wish I could earn $300 per session,
but that is an escort rate and I am a bodyworker. My rate is $150 and has
been for over 5 years. Third, he felt that my pronunciation of the Sanskrit
chant I say at the end of the session was ³terrible.² I remember this man
and he seemed like a very intelligent guy, so I took his criticism to heart
and went to my teacher and had her check my pronunciation (she was trained
at the American Sanskrit Institute). She agreed that my pronunciation was
too Western and I have since made the corrections she recommended.
I thank this gentlemen for his constructive criticism, but I find it
strange that he would choose to save his criticism for a review instead of
just trying to teach me the correct pronunciation at the close of our
session. It¹s a four word chant, it wouldn¹t have taken long. At any rate, I
thank him for the constructive criticism, no matter how it was delivered.
That all said, the part of the review that really got me was when the
dude has the balls to make fun of my Buddha! Personally, I would never walk
into someone¹s house and say, ³Nice crucifix. Where¹d you get it, Target?²
Or ³Cool Star of David. How much did that cost you, 25 cents?² I mean, c¹mon
man. In all seriousness, my partner and I went to a Seattle statuary studio

If he truly is a student of Buddhism then he knows about Ahimsa. Ahimsa is a basic life principle that all Buddhists subscribe to. It means, ³do no harm in thought, words, or action.² And if he had asked me, I would have gladly taught him this during our session. Not in a review.
