After meeting over a fondue dinner and subsequent date, we decided to vacation together in Guatemala, meeting in Houston en route. The trip could hardly have been more enjoyable.
Gabriel found each new experience, and each new town, more interesting than the last. He was as comfortable and as happy eating tortillas, rice and beans in a candlelit country café as enjoying jumbo shrimp on the seacoast, or paella in downtown Guatemala City.. He loved the people, the colors, the shopping, the odd indigenous religious customs. Always cheerful, always good humored, always helpful, and always available to do what I wanted, or, when I pooped out, always ready to go explore or shop or swim on his own. Even gladly ran back up the hill to find a guard when we stayed so late at a hot springs that the gate was locked. Did have a little trouble dragging him off the beach to go back to Guatemala City.
There’s an old, old song title, “Sunny Disposish”, that perfectly describes Gabriel. After the trip, I badly missed both his company and his charming French accent. My life has been poorer since, but is richer for the experience.
Earlier reviews have been sufficiently explicit with regard to physical interaction. I found him to be a cooperative and kind partner.
