The information in the previous reviews was very helpful and it is suggested you
read them thoroughly.
Both saunas were an easy walk from my hotel in Copacabana, though the area can
be dangerous, and taxis are indeed reasonable and safe. Both clubs accept credit
cards to cover the entrance fee and food/drink. The boys accept cash only.
ESTAÇÃO was the smaller of the two. I went on a Saturday evening about 8:00
p.m., and the place had more rent boys than customers. As I undressed in the
locker room, a 21-year-old approached me. Beautiful muscular, smooth body, brown
skin, thick black wavy hair, handsome face -- he took off his towel long enough
to let me see his 20cm, thick dick and then put it back on. Another approached
me to solicit my attention. He was 22-years-old, white skin, smaller in stature,

Experience:
I used a TAM air pass to visit a number of lesser traveled cities. I
went to a sauna in each city; although I didn't visit ones with miches in each
location. However, my experience might be helpful.
Sao Paulo
Thermas Lagoa -- Rua Borges Lagoa, 287
Nothing more needs to be said about Lagoa. It's an extremely clean, well-run
sauna with great looking men.
Recife
Termas Boa Vista -- R. Dom Manoel Pereira, 63
It's a little difficult to find, but it's located right next to the Universidade
Catolica. It has a good webpage. The streets near to it were clogged with
attractive young students eating and socializing. I didn't look around the sauna
very much, but it seemed to be fairly well run and worth visiting. The men wear
blue towels and the clients wear white.
Fortaleza
Thermas Kaliente -- Rua 25 de Março, 1.074
This is the only sauna I went to in Fortaleza and it's a mess. It has a nice
pool area, but it is run down, dirty, and without warm water. The cabines are
not rented. They have no condoms or lube. The night I went, there were only 2
working men. I think this is primarily a place where regular brazilians meet for
sex and thank goodness there were some attractive regular guys. But, I certainly
would not recommend this place either as a sauna with miches or as a regular
sauna to meet locals.
Manaus
There are 2 saunas located in the centro (near a little extension of the river
which ends the center area.) Thermas 92 -- Rua Pedro Botelho 92 and H2O -- Rua
José Paranaguá, 657. Both look ok. I'm not sure if H2O has boys. I went to the
new Sauna, Sauna 92. It's a large clean establishment. The owner was present and
very concerned about the operation. Much of the common area is not air
conditioned; althouth the video room and the deluxe suites have air. (I would
strongly recommend renting the deluxe suites. The cheaper rooms are clean, but
are just small rooms with mats on the floor and are insufferably hot.) The night
I was there (sunday evening), there were a number of clients, but there weren't
a lot of working men; however, those that were there were attractive. As I
recall, the clients wore white and the miches wore blue towels. An interesting
variation is that all the boys are evidently paid $R50 and the money is paid to
the sauna at check out -- not to th!
e boys individually.
Brasilia
I couldn't determine if any of the Brasilia saunas have miches or not. However,
I suspect the best place to go on Friday and Saturday is probably OFICINA
Thermas (Setor de oficinas Sul (SOF Sul), quadra 7 bloco B lote 2) since it is
located next to Garagem, the major dance club, which opens only on the weekends
(as apparently most of the gay bars in Brasilia). Although open during the week,
I decided not to go there because it is located in a sector a bit southwest of
the hotel district. I decided to take the challenge of walling to and finding
the sauna closest to the hotel sector -- ACRÓPOLE (Setor de Diversões Sul (SDS -
Conic), bloco N loja 2). I walked across the crowded Rodoviaria on the Eixo
Rodoviaria to the south diversion sector which is the mall immediately south of
the Eixo Monumental (as opposed the nice mall in the ASA (wing) on the north
side of the Rodoviaria.) This building is actually a series of interlocking
buildings. Finding it was sort of a "Blade !
Runner"ish experience -- narrow passageways; many disparate businesses; and lots
of people. It's about in the middle of the building. You first find the
Evangelical Church and then around the corner are some bars/restaurnats and a
straight porno theater with a working girl in the lobby. The Sauna is around
another corner and is marked and at the bottom of a small stairway. I sort of
liked this place. It wasn't the cleanest place and it was small, butit was full
of regular Brazilians coming and going. (There were some very attractive guys
acting as if they might be working men. However, it wasn't self-evident. Since
Brasilia isn't really high on the foreign tourist network, I suspect that you'd
have to know some portuguese to broach the subject of negotiations.) Obviously
this is the place to go right after the end of the work day. The cabines aren't
rented and you need to bring your own condoms and lube. (The front desk will
give you condoms. I had lost my mini-lu!

included a beer). From my experience, I find that type of honest, pleasant
attitude typical of regular Brazilians.
Curitiba
I didn't go to a sauna with miches, but I did learn some information. (I went to
Caracala -- Rua Alferes Poli, 1.039. This was nice, regular sauna.) Here's what
I know of the saunas with miches. A local told me that 520 (Av. Souza Naves,
520) is a good place. However, while I was out at Studio 1001 (Al. Muricy, 1001)
a number of attractive miches were passing out flyers for Thermas Opinião (Rua
Amintas de Barros, 749). Another day, I walked past it. It's in an unmarked
house, but it looked very attractive and near the centro. However, the newest
Sauna (which I was informed has miches)is Sauna Charm. It is located just a 1/2
block above Studio 1001 on the corner of Al. Muricy and R Augusto Stellfeld (I
think). It's a very attractive yellow house; looks great; and is located right
in the Centro (which unlike many Brazilian cities appears very clean and safe).
It's not yet on any internet lists, but I will definitely give this place a try
the next time I visit Curiti!
